KORICE AQ NANCIS
Founder, Lead & Living Testimony of Combating & Overcoming Fibroids with Confidence!
Korice AQ Nancis is a reproductive health advocate, the living embodiment of combating fibroids with confidence and a proponent of finding purpose, even through pain. She brings to the team a strong background in communications, international development, non-profit management and leadership.
In May 2015, Korice was selected as a Top 10 Winner with her online fibroid-focused social entrepreneurship initiative (Fibroid Awareness Trinidad & Tobago) and pitch for a related feminine product and mobile-app at the Regional Call to Action Entrepreneurship Challenge Bootcamp hosted by the Caribbean Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Livelihoods, the Global Leadership Coalition and 1 Million for 1 Billion in Barbados.
In 2017 as she continued to provide virtual support to women and girls and develop outreach design, she was selected as an International Fellow by the US State Department & IREX. As a fellow, she spent five (5) months in the US engaged in development training; refining The Confidence Project TT and becoming certified in Leadership. She then returned to Trinidad & Tobago to bring The Confidence Project to life and to launch and lead Fibroid Awareness Trinidad & Tobago.
In 2019, she graduated from the University of Birmingham (UK) with a Master of Science in International Development and in 2020 she completed formal executive training in Non-Profit Management with the Arthur Lok Jack Global School of Business (Trinidad).
